		Whether Percival Slater was an operator or just a cinema manager is not known.  He was licencee of both Camborne Palace and Hayle St Georges from Rowland Clifford Hill, in the case of the Palace handing it back to Hill when he took the prestigious job at the new Odeon Falmouth, again here he is licencee. Did he decide better of operating his own cinemas and became manager of the new Odeon or was he one of the local backers Odeon would pursuade to invest in their new cinemas?   Either way for Odeon to have an existing licencee applying for their licence would hold them in a strong position in the face of no doult considerable protest from the exisiting Falmouth operator, Union Cinemas Ltd.
