PRINCETOWN

Gone but not forgotten:        Town Hall ~ BB Cinema

Princetown, in its remote location on Dartmoor and dominated by the prison only had one cinema.  It was in the Town Hall.  During the 1930s Captain J H Blackhurst operated his BB cinema here and was most likely part time. Exactly when film shows ended is not clear but probably during the Second World War. The building was   demolished in December 1989.
