PORT ISAAC
Gone but not forgotten:        Rivoli
This fancy name was given to a 16mm cinema operation run by Olivers Radio and Cinema Services of St
Teath, Bodmin from late 1930s.  The part time cinema claimed to have a café, although this probably just
suggests that a café was present in the building used for the screenings.

Local information suggests the operation was housed in a carpenters shop at the top of the village on a
Friday night.  There were bench seating and a row of tip up seats, that were more expensive.

The operation was run in the 1950's by West Country Mobile Entertainments, of 50 Ebrington Street
Plymouth with two shows weekly.  The operation continued until around 1960.
