Masonic Hall

This very impressive Masonic Lodge building was used between 1912 and 1918 as a cinema.  It is situated on West Hill.

Cinema

This Drill Hall on Moor Lane operated as a cinema 1925 to 1926.

Carlton ~ Mayflower

This fancy pavilion like Town Hall on Station Road was operated as a cinema part time by Major Gould from around 1929.  The cinema continued to operate as Carlton under council management but may have been called Mayflower at some point.  There was Western Electric sound and closed late 1940s.
